Home for my Car!!

For the first time in 24 years of my life, I actually have a garage with working garage doors for my car. You have no idea how excited I am about this!!!!!!!!! No more scraping ice and snow off of my car, no more starting the car 30 minutes before I have to go to work, no more hussling to get things into the car when it is pouring down rain.

I LOVE IT!!!

Thank you so much Brad and Randy for putting them in for me!!!!!!!!!!!!

2009 New Year Resolutions!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I hope that everyone had a Happy New Year. Well I guess it is that time of year again where we come up with our new year resolutions ( that very rarely ever make it all year).

My New Year's Resolutions are:

1. Be Healthy and Fit - meaning that I actually want to try and exercise 3 times a week, and eat healthier.

2. Cook - okay this is a big for me. I want to learn how to cook actual healthy meals for my family. Trust me, I am the queen at pizza, hot dogs, mac & cheese, and quick bake casseroles but other than that.....Rachel is pretty limited. It seems that by the time I get home in the evenings the last thing I feel like doing is cooking a big meal for us. So.....if there are any ideas out there, please feel free to share.

3. Simplify My Life - This is a big one. Needless to say my house looks like a tornado hit it, my office at work is almost as bad. I have a three old, go to school, work full time, and also have my own Mary Kay business. Get the hint....need to simplify. At least get some order and routines going.

4. Graduate From College - Praise the LORD!!! My anticipated graduation date is August 2009. Fingers crossed.

Okay, well I think that is it for 2009. WOW, thats a list. YIKES!!! Now I actually have to accomplish them.

So what are your 2009 New Year Resolutions??

Happy Holidays

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas! I know that we sure did. Jacob got so many things that I don't think he knows what to do with them all. I promise to post pictures soon.

My sister Katie, his godmother, gave him a goldfish for Christmas. Jacob was exstatic!! He named him Frank, well Frank went belly up that next day. (I don't think goldfish like to travel) Well Brad and I had the brilliant idea of going to PETCO and buying him Frank #2 before he found out that Frank #1 died. So while Jacob was at his dads on Saturday we went to get Frank #2.

Two hours and $91 later, we are leaving PETCO with one small gold fish, a 14 gallon tank with a filter and a light, rocks, fake plants and who knows what else. Brad decided that Jacob needed more than just one fish and of course we couldn't keep Frank #2 in that small little fish bowl forever. OMG!!

Well, we got it all set up and put Frank in the big tank. When Jacob came home on Sunday he couldn't believe his eyes. He watched that fish swim for hours. He was a spunky little dude. Later that evening we left to go grocery shopping and stop back by PETCO to get a few more fish for the tank. By the time we got to PETCO they were closed so we headed home. When we got home the first thing that Jacob did was go and check on Frank. "Mommy look Frank is sleeping!!" Needless to say, FRANK WAS DEAD. Yep, you heard me right....fish #2 down the toilet.

I think that the water was to hot in the tank so we moved the tank to a different room. So tonight we are on a mission to get some more fish!!

Snow Day!!!

I love SNOW DAYS!!! Tuesday Brad, Jacob and I had a snow day and it was wonderful!! The weather and roads were crappy so we just decided to stay home. We played games, and colored Christmas pictures, and watch movies.

Jacob and Brad both helped me do laundry and dishes. Aren't they wonderful?!

Then we all took a 2 hour nap.Yes, I needed it. And then Bernie made us soup for supper and it was delicious.

LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW!!!

Update!

I don't know where the time has gone but it seems to be flying by. I have been a bit of a slacker with the camera the last few weeks so I really don't have pics and wish I did.

Last weekend was spent baking cookies at Janice's house. We all had a good time but I think Trisha and Jacob had an exceptionally good time decorating cookies for daycare. Needless to say they both ended up different colors!!!

As most of you know, I am taking online classes throught Columbia College trying to finish my degree. Well, this weekend was finals. UGGGHHHHH!!!! Friday night was spent, writing a 11 page paper that was due by midnight. Saturday I had my Mary Kay open house from 11am - 4pm and in between customers, I had to complete my final exam which was 100 questions. Needless to say, it took me all day. Then Brian and Trisha had their Christmas Party that night. We had a blast. If you have not played the game Apples to Apples, may I suggest that you go out and get it because it is a blast to play. Sunday, I RELAXED. (Sort of) I finished putting up some Christmas decorations and wrapped presents along with trying to clean the house a little.

WHEW!!! I am glad this weekend is over.

More to come latere.....

The Dentist!!

Well Jacob had his first dentist appointment the other day! He did very well. He let them count all of his teeth and even pick around a little bit but he sure would not let them clean his teeth. So he gets to go back in a month so they can clean his teeth. He promised that he would let them clean them then. We will see!?

For mom, I wasn't so lucky. The teeth cleaning was wonderful!! I love it!! But I had 2 cavities coming loose. Of course they are on opposite sides of my mouth so I have to go in twice and get 2 shots. That Stinks!!

Weekend Update!

I hope you all had a very Happy Thanksgiving. I know we sure did!

You don't realize how quiet the house can be when there is not a 3 year old around. Thursday evening Jacob went with his dad and was with him the entire weekend. Needless to say, Mommy is having MAJOR withdrawals.

Friday I spent the day picking up the house and helping Brad. I also went into town for a few hours with Janice and now I know why I don't shop the day after Thanksgiving. WOW!!!! For those of you that went, God Bless you!

Saturday, Angie and I did some shopping down at the lake. We had a blast. We were claimed sisters TWICE!! That is kind of scary although we have been friends long enough and are enough like that it is sort of true. Anyway, we did get some pretty good deals. YEAH!!

Sunday, I lounged around the house, finished homework, took a nap, and watched movies. Yead, definitely missing Jacob.

HAPPY MONDAY!!!!!

Wishing you all a safe and happy week.
