Fairly Calm Weekend!

For once, we had a fairly calm weekend. Friday night, I met my sister Katie in town and picked up a new puppy. Actually he is a year old, beagle. His name is John. Apparently he is potty trained and everything. Well on the way home, he decided to poop in my back seat and then tracked it to the front and then right as I pulled in the drive way he puked in my purse. YUCK!! Thank Gosh for leather seats!!

Saturday morning, Trisha and I went to the Cole County Fall Festival. We had a blast! We both bought some really beautiful floral arrangements for our homes. By the time we left, only 2 1/2 hours later, we had a car full. Then later that afternoon, Brad and I went down to mom and dad's to help dad drive some post. Fun, fun!

Sunday, we got up and went to church and then went grocery shopping at Wal-Mart. NOT FUN! Later on Janice BBQ chicken and we called it a night.

AHHHH!

LIFE!

Sorry for all the blank space. The last few weeks have been absolutely insane. I was out and off work for a whole week with Strep and then Jacob came down with it and I was home with him for a while. It has been crazy.

This past weekend we finally got rock put all around the house along with landscaping ties. May I say it looks great! I will post pics soon.

Today Brad is rained out of work so he and the guys are pouring concrete in the shop. FINALLY!! Brad is not quite as excited about it as I am. Wonder Why?!

More to come.....

Zoo!!

August 1st, 2008 Brad and I took Jacob, Uncle John and Aunt Sarah to the St. Louis Zoo.

I think John and Sarah enjoyed it just as much as Jacob did. We all had a good time even though I got pulled over on I-70. Yes....me...pulled over! I sware I was not speeding:) We took Dad's Jeep, go figure Rep. plates. They pulled me over because apparently traffice was slowing and following a little to close plus they wanted to talk to DAD!!!!!!! Yep, they pulled me over because they wanted to shoot the shit with Dad!! Needless to say, Rachel was alittle bit stoked. CRAP.. I tell you.

Here are some pics from our day at the zoo.

Osage County Fair!

On July 1oth my brother and sister, John and Sarah, showed steers at the Osage County Fair. They both placed pretty good in there classes. Jacob loves going to the Fair.

Here is a picture of my brother John and Jacob sitting against one of Uncle John's steers. Jacob thought he was big stuff, just like Uncle John.

Lazy Blogger....Branson Vacation!!

I am guilty. I have been a very lazy blogger lately. Life is so busy that I hardly have time to stop and think. Work is absolutely crazy!!!! A couple of weekends ago, Brad and I finally took our first mini-vacation, just me and him. It was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!! We went to Branson. I know it sounds lame but I had never been to Branson. (Sheltered Life..I know) We went down on a Friday and came back that Sunday afternoon. It was short but nice. Our hotel room had a jacuzzi tub which was pretty sweet.

We went to the Dixie Stampede which was totally amazing! If you ever go to Branson, you need to go to the Dixie Stampede, it is well worth it. We also went to Ripley's Believe it or Not. The rest of the time we spent shopping and relaxing. Needless to say, we both needed a weekend away.

For his birthday we are planning a weekend get-away to Branson. I have never been to Branson and he was very little the last time he went so that is where he chose.

Hay season is finally OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! About time...

Hay Season!

Sorry it has been so long since I have posted anything. Hay season has officially begun and Dad has had us in the hay field, bucking bales. We have put up around 2300 bales in the last few weeks. Whew....talk about kicking a persons butt!!!!!!!!!!!

Brad and the boys have also been in the hay field. Big round bales are easier than square bales but it all takes time and hard work. Many nights it is after 9:30pm before he gets in the house. I will be glad when hay season is over and I get my boyfriend back.

We have officically put up the new pool!! Pictures are soon to come. (I promise!) Jacob did not know what to think of it at first but now he loves it!!!!!!!!!!!! It is 12 ft wide by 30 inches deep pool.
